well, my #FusionMeetup talk went OK! Got a bunch of questions from people afterwards; web developers think about this stuff a lot and recognise the complex landscape of tech, politics, government, regulation, and web diversity that are the water that @owa swims in. Which is great!
plus someone liked the poetry, which is also great. People who never come out of vscode, I will make you care about the arts at least a little bit and for a little time, you see if I don't
Nice, tickets for Fusion are now available. I have of course bought mine. If you’re even vaguely near Birmingham and you’re not going to Fusion, you’re missing out. An evening of smart people from across the UK speaking about tech stuff, excellent local street food, and free drinks for, like, £7.50. It’s amazing; it’s a conference every quarter. Plus there are little cakes or jelly beans or whatever on the tables. Go buy a ticket now. June 12th. #fusionmeetup
"Whose web is it anyway?" My slides on Apples's existential assault on the Web from last night's #fusionmeetup. (Download the PDF, bottom right, to follow any of the links)

Why should you care?
Because the web is yours.
Sir Tim B-L, quoted by @brucelawson, at #fusionmeetup.
And finally Bruce shows the attendees at #fusionmeetup, and those watching the live stream, and all of you, the link to our open letter from @owa to Tim Cook about Apple breaking web apps for everyone in the EU. If you think this is a problem too, and you aren’t one of the more than four thousand people who’ve already signed the letter, do consider doing so.
