^ This has really reminded me of being in the studio recording The Din Pedal's debut album. It was a great session with lots of experimenting with sounds (my favorite was where the bass player used a soft mallet rather than a pick or his fingers - first track, Kangaroo Kourt). We listened to The Bends a lot during that session. The influence is noticeable.
I was really disappointed in the mixing and mastering on this one. And it took several years to come out. It sounded so much bigger and elegant in the rough mixes. One day I'll get my DAT tapes imported and have access to that gloriousness again.
