I’d never consciously heard of “Shriners” before yesterday. Then I watched an episode of Columbo where he was running around looking for one for some reason to do with a ring, followed by Die Hard 2, where apparently there’s a Shriners convention in town adding to the airport crowds. #FrequencyIllusion

Just learned about the #BaaderMeinhofEffect, which relies on selective attention and confirmation bias and makes you believe you're seeing something more often, even if the frequency of it hasn't actually increased.

No doubt I will see it mentioned everywhere now...
