Foster buns Fontana and Misty playing with their new toys from our Foster Home Open House last Sunday. Thanks so much to everyone who came to visit and made toys for the rabbits. We've got some happy bunnies! #FosterFebruary #FosterBunny #Enrichment #FosteringSavesLives #Gratitude #TriangleRabbits

#FosterFebruary continues with this story from Jenna:

I have lost count of the number of rabbits I’ve fostered over the years. I love all their different shapes and sizes and finding big personalities in such small bodies. Fostering means that I get to experience it all - baby rabbits to grumpy seniors, velvet fur, puff balls, lops and “radar ears”. Quiet dignified rabbits, snuggle buns, and high energy parkour experts.

There is so much to learn and experience and the Triangle Rabbits team is always there to answer questions and provide support when I run into something new…which I still do after years of fostering!

Today's very special #FosterFebruary installment from Derek highlights "Foster Failing", which means adopting your foster! We're pretty sure Buxton considers this a win 😎 He is a great bunny and Derek's house feels complete with him in it.

Today's #FosterFebruary story comes from Jana:
Sheldon was the fattest rabbit I had ever seen, so big he couldn’t move. Absolute lack of muscle. Lethargic and depressed. He had no idea how to rabbit.

Over time, he started to do a little shuffle, then a few steps, then a hop, then many, many hops all in a row! That was a great day, and we all cheered when it happened. Months passed, he got rabbityer and rabbityer, and then it was time for him to find a home.

Today's #FosterFebruary installment features Alice and her adorable first foster Cookies. He needed some time and patience to learn proper "house rabbit" manners before finding his forever family and we are grateful to foster homes like Alice who are a part of the journey.

For #FosterFebruary, we are asking our foster parents what makes them decide to foster. Kimberly shared that the work becomes worth it "...when the one with bunnitude deigns to accept affection or express happiness. (I see you binkying, Misty!)"
