👂🏼 “Ha? What did you say?”

That became my favorite phrase after my heart surgery last year. At first, I thought my family was just mumbling more than usual… turns out, I was the problem. 😅

I tried to save money and bought hearing aids online (because I’m a smart guy, right?). Let’s just say it was cheaper than a stethoscope and worked about as well as using a seashell. 🐚

Eventually, I gave in and saw a real audiologist—and it changed everything.

Now, I can hear the birds sing, my wife’s reminders (uh-oh 😬), and my grandkids’ laughter. What a difference it makes.

💡 I wrote this blog to share:

✔️ Why hearing loss is more common than we think (especially after surgery)

✔️ How to choose the right hearing aids (hint: not from a sketchy website)

✔️ And why hearing well is key to living For The Good Life

If you’re constantly saying “Ha?” or know someone who is—send this their way. They (and their families) will thank you. 😄
