Houston City Council extends 2016 flood-mitigation grant program as hundreds of homes wait to be elevated

Since Hurricane Harvey in 2017, more than 200 flood-prone Houston homes have been earmarked for federal grant funding so they can be elevated off the ground level. None of them have been raised to this point.
