Had a fascinating school trip to Fishbourne Roman Palace today with Year 4. Not only great exhibits in lovely surroundings, but a superbly engaging workshop session with Tom, who smoothly got the children on-side by demonstrating that the adults in the room don’t wash!
We had fun with mosaics, papyrus and wax tablets, scratching our names and ages. Of course, I was the only one in the room who needed the Roman numeral ‘L.’
