Ah, the wonders of modern education: 🌟 a 3D animation showing DNA replication that’s perfect for middle schoolers who can’t get enough of Ötzi 🧊 and CSHL’s endless list of field trips. Because nothing says cutting-edge science like a glorified screensaver and a list of activities longer than the human genome itself. 🧬🎉

Yesterday we went on a field trip fossil hunting among the buildings of downtown Calgary! Many are clad in Tyndall Stone, a fossiliferous Ordovician limestone. Highlights included nautiloids, gastropods, horn corals, and algae.

Thanks to Tako Koning for once again leading this exciting and popular trip!
