I think my reaction to this movie was similar to yours. I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would. If I had known going in that it was a back door pilot for a Daredevil show from 1989, I would have expected to find it a lot more cringy than it turned out to be.

You mentioned that the perpetrators didn’t have to worry about cameras during the diamond heist, but my favorite part of that (besides, why not just take all the safety deposit boxes?) was that they were installing cameras so that Kingpin could watch them.
