People say that the fediverse or heavy blocking traps you in an echo chamber.
I disagree.

The fediverse plus selective blocking puts a shield between you and the noise. It keeps you from having to pretend that obvious facts are somehow up for debate in a true/false frame. Some things simply aren’t debatable — they’re just true. Or, as Spock would put it: “It’s only logical.” 🖖
