all this time i have heard good things about Obsidian (despite it not being FOSS) and even saw a talk about it at #FSCK25, but I only now realised that it's not a server-hosted kinda thing but rather local only and you need to figure out sync yourself? That makes it so much less attractive... (the person holding the talk recommended Syncthing, but I still kinda dislike that two-component approach, idk)
