My first impressions of what I’m hoping will be my display for years to come.
I’m happy with the trade-offs I’ve done, cutting the price almost in half.

Sometimes you buy stuff, because you think it’s looks cool and will work for you. That’s what I’ve thought about an ultra wide display. But for some time, I’ve been longing for more of traditional proportions with a bit more kick in the resolution department.

https://samulczyk.pl/2026/04/gigabyte-aorus-fo32u2-first-impressions/So, first day is over. My initial impressions are great with #Gigabyte #AORUS #FO32U2. It really is an upgrade compared to the old display.
Now, the cheaper version didn’t come with USB-C cable, so I had to order one, so I can get rid of a bunch of more useless crap (cables, external KVM). And connect the iPad with one cable for charging and display!
So, I have ordered myself a new display for my desk… #Gigabyte AORUS #FO32U2. I’ve been briefly considering more expensive #FO32U2P, because it has more PD power (60vs18W), matte vs glossy display and Display Port 2.1 but went with the cheaper option.
My room is always dark, so glossy display doesn’t bother me, I definitely don’t care about high speed DP 2.1. Most compeling thing was in the end PD power… But the price was so good on the lower model I could not justify expensive purchase…
