Back in the mid-90’s I worked at the #Alberta Research Council where we worked with the relatively germinal technologies of #HTML #VR and #expertsystems It was an exciting time. What those technologies have wrought now 30 years later … doesn’t excite me. So many of the values my colleagues discussed back then (an open, free, and generative internet) seem more relevant than ever. Thank goodness for people/orgs like @Mer__edith and @eff
