My samples from IODP #Exp397 arrived! Though I was very disappointed my arm injury prevented me from sailing on the JR this Fall, I am thrilled to still be part of the expedition as a shore-based scientist and study marine sediment samples from the Iberian Margin. Huge thanks to the shipboard scientists and technicians for their work this Fall! I can’t wait to see the results of all our studies!! 🤩 #Exp397 #paleoclimate

As we bid fond farewell to #IODP #Exp397, we're excited to follow University of Tasmania, PhD candidate, Acacia Clark's journey on #Exp398! We spoke with her for a quick Q&A before boarding the floating laboratory, the JOIDES Resolution. Learn more about her research and what Expedition 398 means for our knowledge of volcanic processes.
