The original posts are long gone with my #exbirdsite account but about 15 years ago I had a wonderful interaction with Mr Kudelka that I CHEERFULLY declared him the winner of.

@ShaulaEvans I DO like the Fedi for that. I especially like that people here are often chill enough that I can unironically or sarcastically say “they seem nice” and reach for the follow button.
All too often on the (hopefully) dying #exbirdsite, that phrase was almost ALWAYS ironic and accompanied by the block button.
If I was still on the (hopefully dying) #exbirdsite, I would generally expect usage of the phrase “They seem nice” to be a) Heavily #sarcastic and b) accompanied by use of the “block” button.
That it’s the opposite here on the #fedi, truly is something I’m appreciating right now.
So thank you to all the lovely people I’ve met that way. You do you folks, you’re great.
