I've have a few requests lately fro having some 1U/Tile options. This is something I have been wanting to do but wanted to make sure my double-row rails worked as expected. As there are now several Skiffy 642 cases in the hands of customers, I'm not feeling fairly comfortable with exploring Tiles options more.

Here is a mockup of what I would call a Skiffy 742. It's getting to be a bit comically tall so I suspect I will probably offer Skiffy 748, 756, etc. as normal options instead. I also would like to offer Skiffy 442, 456, etc. as well as have an option for the X series. At any rate, these are coming! I'm not sure when but hopefully soon!

Been working on sprucing up my direct storefront finally! I still have some things to do (like update the X42 product photos, have photos of all the plastics colors, etc.) but it's coming along! I'll continue to offer my cases up on Etsy but wanted to improve my actual storefront since, at the very least, that's where I have the assembly instructions. To no discredit to Etsy but my overhead is also quite a bit lower, which helps things like newer cases designs, my module designs (like my GameBoy Wave Oscillator module), etc.

Coming Soon! Skiffy 42: Hardwood Editions!

These are just teasers. Unlike my normal Skiffy's, these will likely be pre-assembled with their own serial numbers and available in various hardwoods. I haven't decided if I will mix and match woods yet. I think some of the combinations look cool but my better half thinks they look better using a single wood. Curious if folks have an opinion!

Pictured (starting left and going clockwise) is Purpleheart, Mahogany, Padaulk and Wenge.

And yes, Skiffy 84's are coming too (in normal MDF as well as hardwood editions, at some point). I'm also testing out a replacement to the birch plywood for a middle of the road option.

These are sort of 'halo' offerings. My main goal and focus has always been, and will continue to be, offering affordable (and expandable, in the case of the X-line) cases for Eurorack. These hardwood editions are for folks that just want a little something extra special.
