The US adaptation of #gameshow #RaidtheCage, aka #EscapePerfecto, took out most of the risk and fun of the original version, supposedly because otherwise "it wouldn't work in prime time." Yet the Argentina nightly prime-time version continues to be the #2 most watched show in the country every night, and it plays according to the classic rules. Pleasantly surprised to see that #EscapePerfecto Mexico (aka Raid the Cage) has been renewed for a second season, despite what I thought was a rather lukewarm return this year. I'm waiting to see how badly they screw up the upcoming U.S. version.
