The final scene doesn't work for me. Visually it is poor but more than that. The Doctor says "We're going to put you outside, Salamander. No friends, no safety, nothing. You'll run, but they'll catch up with you" That's a much better ending for him #DoctorWho #EnemyoftheWorld

This whole final sequence is very effective and shows how far the series has come in such a short time. Compare this to the confrontation in the Chase where Hartnell fights his own stunt double (in extreme close up) #DoctorWho #EnemyoftheWorld

I don't think we ever really trust Giles Kent (because the Doctor clearly never does) and yet all of his final scenes work well. His level of involvement in events still works as a twist which feels earned #DoctorWho #EnemyoftheWorld

I haven't really said much about Astrid but she really is excellent (and would have made a good companion). She is actually the hero of the story who finds and rescues the people the Doctor didn't even know existed #DoctorWho #EnemyoftheWorld

After 6 episodes of people trying to find evidence against Salamander, the Doctor and Bruce are finally convinced by requisition papers showing 30 people need feeding in a base of 6. A dictator toppled by a catering bill feels quite fitting somehow #DoctorWho #EnemyoftheWorld

And we are back to Evil again with the Doctor manipulating his companions emotions. This time he plays Jamie and Victoria (to the point she nearly strikes him) just to make a point to Bruce. I'm just not entirely sure what that point is... #DoctorWho #EnemyoftheWorld

Salamander is able to convince Swann that the population are hideously deformed in mind and body by radiation and yet are going on luxury cruises. Just how gullible are these people? #DoctorWho #EnemyoftheWorld
