⚛️🐈 Why do electron shells exist?
(And why atoms are mostly space ☕)
Electrons don’t orbit like tiny planets.
They settle into stable boundary states — natural energy “resting places” defined by wave structure, geometry, and constraint.
No mysticism. No hand-waving.
Just physics doing what physics always does:
➡️ minimise instability
➡️ respect boundaries
➡️ jump only when enough energy is supplied
Those famous “quantum jumps”?
They’re not mysterious leaps — they’re boundary crossings.
This is why:
✨ electron levels are discrete
✨ tunnelling works
✨ atoms don’t collapse
✨ matter is ~99% empty space
Nature solved this long ago.
We’re just learning to listen rather than shout.
