Andrii Kravets 3p wins the Prague Old Hunter's Cup!
The 54th Prague Go tournament-Old Hunter's Cup took place in Prague, Czechia, on May 1-3, gathering 158 players from 21 countries. Andrii Kravets 3p from Ukraine won the tournament.
The European Pair Go Championship 2026 - Austria and Croatia on the top!
The European Pair Go Championship 2026 took place on April 25-26 in Bratislava, Slovakia. 20 pairs were competing in this 6 rounds event. Ting Li 1p and Lothar Spiegel 6d became the Open Champions, while Mirta Medak 3d and Stjepan Medak 6d took the first place among amateur pairs and will play for Europe in the International Amateur Pair Go Championship in Nagoya, Japan.

31st EYGC in Croatia – youth go in a white paradise
The 31st European Youth Go Championships was held from 25th to 29th March 2026 in the Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia. Specific circumstances made it a unique event in the same way the 25th EYGC in Croatia ended with the pandemic lockdown and a strong earthquake in Zagreb. Meteorological conditions happening once in a century, causing a lot of problems elsewhere in Croatia, provided excell
The 31st European Youth Go Championships was held from 25th to 29th March 2026 in the Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia. Specific circumstances made it a unique event in the same way the 25th EYGC in Croatia ended with the pandemic lockdown and a strong earthquake in Zagreb. Meteorological conditions happening once in a century, causing a lot of problems elsewhere in Croatia, provided excellent atmosphere for playing go in hotel Jezero (Croatian word for lake). All participants enjoyed the rich schedule carefully prepared by experienced and caring organization team. After individual tournaments played in three age groups, the 1st EGF Youth Teams Cup was played: this important event will be described in a dedicated article.
