I had a fun bunch of visitors in Ottawa yesterday - 37 grade nine students from J.J. Bowlen Catholic Junior High School in Edmonton. I toured them through the new Senate building and spoke to them about the role of the Senate, especially in its new more independent format. I love school visits. I did dozens of them during the worst days of COVID, via video. But today was my first in-person classroom visit in almost 3 years.
