When I accepted a position in 2018, I filled out my usual hiring docs. I clicked the "disabled" button. When my boss checked the docs, she told me she filled out my gender, ethnicity and unclicked I was disabled. I was genuinely shocked. I explained to her under I WAS.

#DisLabor
is a hashtag for disabled people to discuss their experiences while working and/or their experiences in the labor movement
- no union membership needed (though if that's desired, I can put you in touch with some people!)
- don't feel you have to divulge any sensitive disability related details (you decide what may be non/sensitive here whether dx's, symptoms, limitations etc)
- find other #DisabledWorkers and make community!
