@emilymbender The mentioning of SALAMI as a better name for “AI” made me immediately think of Dieter Roth’s Literature Sausages (Literaturwürste) 🤩
They are sausages made of ground-up text pages mixed with fat, gelatin, water, and spices and stuffed into sausage casings. Fits “AI” perfectly 😅

Attached: 3 images The Verwurstung of books. In 1974, the artist Dieter Roth experimented with the materiality of books - and made, among other "literature sausages", Hegel's complete work to 20 sausages using traditional sausage recipes, replacing the sausage's meat with book paper. #histodons #bookhistory #bookstodon

still doing #DieterRoth research 🙄

Needless to say I'm still checking the catalogue? I just went through the shit section with the different titles "Die gesamte Scheisse", "Die verdammte Scheiße", "Die verdammte gesamte Kacke", "Die verdammte gesamte Scheiße" and so on. 💩

In this sense, a great weekend!

Our #artistsbooks collection includes a very large proportion of #DieterRoth.s work. Of course not completely (probably). Now I have a special catalog "Dieter Roth" in front of me, from the antiquarian book shop Querido. Friends of the printed pages, you know what that means: lots and lots of detailed research work 😬 . Well, I'll be gone then for a while. Have a good time and save me a seat here 💺
