A reminder that even under the Copyright system, you are legally allowed to create a personal copy of any analog/digital item you purchase, including VHS, CD, DVD, Blu-Ray, etc. However, the MPAA and the RIAA don't want you to know this, and they also made the process of exercising your right here difficult by encouraging distributors to choke these mediums full of DRM, then try to scare you (the owner) by including "piracy" and FBI warnings everywhere. Don't let these fool you, you can still copy the entirety of anything you purchase. You bought it, you own it. These companies are enforcing a series of schemes aimed at stripping you of your rights here. That is the real crime!
