@theogrin @dyckron There are many symptoms of inequality and injustice, not just housing. You have underfunded healthcare where the people’s private data can be extracted for companies to profit from, education without prospects for poorer children, small business and high street collapse favouring antitrust monopolies, overweighted financial sector serving the deregulated corruption of the markets, the climate crisis from the destruction of sustainable ecosystems, technology aimed at controlling all our information ending any privacy so no social contract and more unemployment, hence less money for the many to rent or buy a place to live in etc. The cause, is relinquishing the democratic rights of diverse interests to the corporate abduction, as in negative-sum gaming of democracy. With that each new government depends on the dark money of corporate interests to get elected. In return for giving ultra rich investors more power, as in policy and tax benefits the people pay for it. It is the ultra rich, who finance the corporate sovereignty that drives the growth of ideological cults responsible for the gross abuse of human rights like genocides! French and Russian style revolution didn’t end the curse of that abuse, neither will those who promise to take housing from X to give it to Y. It is a con, not much better than the promises of the Nazis’ and the Bolsheviks. Trump, Farage and Burnham are just a continuation of that abuse; selling out to corporate sovereignty by using policy promises to grift the people. Such is why party politics are ground on control and division, so fail all of us except an ever diminishing few on an epic scale!
