Fish.

I'm rusty a.f. but it's something.
Decyrè is a reef shark D&D character I made for my #DelversGuideToBeastworld campaign as a homebrew lineage. Because none of the PCs is planning to be replaced by retiring (or dying) she remains an NPC and mini play test before I my players need to deal with" managing the inability to breathe air unassisted". She has gotten magical ways to deal with that, but that would be expensive and more late game as I flavoured it now.

The green glow should represent some of her magical tattoos, but the e-ink tablet has a fixed width text marker as one of it's very sparse colouring options, so they are applied liberally here.

Working on my #DnD homebrew fish species based on the #DelversGuideToBeastworld setting after the campaign was in limbo for a whole bit.

I'm adding a body mod system, which I will probably regret, specific to the newly discovered culture.
I will see what the artificer will want to do with the power to get/make magical items that don't take an atunment slot in exchange for a healing mechanic.
The first mod is a magical gill implant that acts like a decanter of endless water, but working at a lower rate without sacrificing an action.
Because the fish species can only breath water, that might be worth the initial risk initially instead if needing a clean tub if water for 1 hour every 24 hours to refill the common water breather item.

The NPC that would even consider that procedure is unintentionally going in the "little mermaid" direction... But I don't think my players would do anything to make her regret it and there are very little people that would...

And I need to figure out what to do with the shark puppy

Trying to buy d&d spell cards... If any 2015 edition still exist in retail.
If I can't find any, I guess I have to print some myself. Still have to do that for the #delversGuideToBeastworld spells anyway

Melody of the Void
Collage of Witches Bard
Both species (Celerine: Rabbit) and Subclass are from the #DelversGuideToBeastWorld
Her homeland Trait gives her the innate ability to create a burst of darkness to defend herself. Sadly she wasn't raised there, the whole campaign happens in a different universe, so nobody could explain that those aren't demons lashing out through her.

I also don't think she could put that together herself until now, I rolled very badly for at least 1 stat and she is, in terms of classical school knowledge and logic, dumb as a rock (Int 5).
Same as a Mimic, Ogre or shambling mound.

So yeah, she will probably not solve the math puzzle the intended way, but maybe she can ask one of the local ghosts for help.

She has the eldritch adapt feat, I guess she somehow out charmed some fiend or cosmetic horror beyond her comprehension, without ending in a pact.

Or maybe some powerful entity was just worried for her letting her live in the illusion that she bested an otherworldly being

Either way, the ability to create a small crack in the fabric of reality to unleash a concentrated pulse of untamed energy at a target surely comes in handy sometimes

The class also gives her the option to play a little concert for the local ghosts and recruit some for the rest of the day. She still has to rock the roof off of a haunted house

The Dungeon Mistress

Jackal I doodled during our #DelversGuideToBeastworld sessions.

on a side note: the Lenovo smart paper that I scribbled this on was discontinued, so I guess e-ink tablets didn't work out for them

Decyré of coral
The curious shark that my players successfully made contact with. They didn't even attack her!
She's a bard with a lot of connections and an near insatiable curiosity for the wave riders.
Thank goodness "comprehend languages" is a ritual, we'll need that for a while 💦

I've been teasing ro my players that I was working on a homebrew species for the #DelversGuideToBeastworld campaign and she's the first of the sub-species.

There are still a lot of little problems to work out, but that's what play tests are for I guess 🤷

Sabrina, one of my D&D NPCs in, what video games tough me, is an armour set of the highest level.

I want to bring her back in my #DelversGuideToBeastWorld campaign, after the group helped her survive the intellect devourer incident
