One of my last #Caturday posts for a while, taken only a few days before she died. I love you and miss you, Wasabi.
New blog post: Wasabi, ~2008-2024. https://nevillepark.ca/2024/11/21/wasabi-c-2008-2024/
(Featuring lots of #DailyCatPic photos from the last several years.)
Spending the evening cuddling with this little goblin.
#caturday Very Special Episode: Wasabi is quite old and ill, and we don't know much longer she has. What's something you wished you did with your cat(s) before they died? What helped with the grieving process? Did you make any keepsakes?
(Feel free to CW replies if this is a sensitive discussion for you.)
Afternoon flomp
Wasabi has always loved using my hand as a chin rest, particularly when I can't use it for anything else, like holding a book or using a smartphone. (She's purring in this photo.)
my poor sick drooping baby. she's skin and bones, her vertebrae are almost sharp through her skin. going to curl up with my face in her side, gently
Poor Wasabi has been having these coughing/sneezing fits and has no appetite and hardly energy for anything. She is just lying slumped over the edge of the bed, I imagine because it is the most comfortable for her right now, and least likely to provoke another fit. I feel miserable just watching her, the poor baby. We have a vet appointment tomorrow. Good thoughts appreciated.
