@dandb Yes, why was the choice made to use that accent? It sounds like the made up transatlantic accent used in movies in the 1930s-50s.

Mandy Patinkin is deliberate and skilled with his voice work, so you know it has to have been a capital C Choice. Are we going to learn backstory at some point why this character needs a transatlantic accent? Was the detective raised alone in a room with nothing but AMC on the TV? 🤣

@kd8bxp My spouse was taken by surprise by #MandyPatinkin. Couldn’t figure out MP was iconic #InigoMontoya! Great voice work; usually it’s the voice that’s the give away but MP is a master of voices.

MP was perfection as Inigo. I truly can’t imagine anyone else in that role. The voice he’s using in #DAOD is interesting - kind of a throwback to the old transatlantic accent. He and #KathrynGrody are hoots and MP IRL doesn't sound like either of those characters. Fun watch:
