With Drupal 7 end of life approaching and no plans for a redesign, the Penn State University Undergraduate Education team needed a solution for their lingering Drupal 7 sites. Aten chose to upgrade six of their sites to Backdrop CMS for a fraction of the cost of a move to Drupal 10.

Drupal 7 official End of Life has been extended to 5 January 2025. This will be the final extension – Drupal 7 will not receive security support after this date. But don’t worry! The Drupal Association and Drupal Security Team are providing you resources, tools, and partners to migrate your Drupal 7 sites.

She does such a good job at talking about the importance of collaboration between the Drupal community and the Backdrop CMS community.
