After tooting about #Agrippa and his Three Books of #Occult Philosophy so much, you are probably wondering: which translation should you get?

My suggestion is to look for Eric Purdue's translation, published by Inner Traditions in 2021. Here is my review of both of the most recent English translations, so you can see why I recommend it.

A Grip of Agrippas

Read my book reviews of the new translations of Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa’s De occulta philosophia. The translations are by Eric Purdue and Paul Summers Young.

Studying Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa while also reading historical fiction set in classical Rome ... There really are a lot of Agrippas.

The historical fiction is the Falco series by Lindsay Davis. They are mysteries set during the reign of Vespasian (and probably later), filled with awesome historical tidbits and historical food. They are really delightful and I'm devouring them like candy.

At the end of October, I finished a project that took about 10 months: a #podcast series about #HeinrichCorneliusAgrippa and his Three Books of #OccultPhilosophy. There are nine episodes in the series, and I believe it fits in the category of "highly produced" podcast. It's kind of like a documentary.

The series is aimed at curious practitioners: ceremonial magicians, ritualists, planetary magicians, spirit workers, etc. And it's free! You can listen to all of it at this URL: https://arnemancy.com/agrippa
