CONFERENCE MOBILITY IN ARCHAEOLOGY

Please answer this questionnaire only if you work in the field of archaeology. It will take you ca. 10 minutes. Data will be handled anonymously. We are a group of archaeologists worried about how rapid climate change is affecting life on Earth at many levels. We know that this is a direct consequence of capitalism, and that the only effective way to reverse, or at least stop, this process is a change of system. In the meanwhile, this questionnaire intends to understand how often and how archaeologists travel to conferences, congresses and other meetings. This does not include field work, except for the questions where it is specified. We are aware that work-related trips in our field do not contribute a significant amount of greenhouse emissions to the global figures, but we want to explore the willingness and capabilities that we have to minimize our impact.
