I tried warming up my (plastic) alto recorder by putting the mouthpiece inside my shirt this evening.

Pros: I can get through a practice session without condensation stopping play (unlike the diluted detergent solution, which I have tried previously. It was better than nothing, but this is the best solution I've found so far.).

Cons: I get to taste myself. (Using the detergent solution results in being able to taste detergent when I play.)

I would prefer my recorder mouthpiece to be plastic-flavour (aka no flavour at all), but that doesn't seem to be an option so far.
