Rural and small libraries are preserving their communities’ stories with help from the @internetarchive / #CommunityWebs program.

In Sept., Librarians from across the U.S. gathered in Albuquerque at the Association for Rural & Small Libraries Conference to learn web archiving, oral histories, community scanning, & strategies to capture local news, blogs, & digital history before it’s lost.

CARTA brings together 40+ museums & libraries with @internetarchive to capture and preserve these websites. From experimental galleries in LA to glassblowers in Tacoma, the web we built is being preserved.
