When people have enough $ to stabilize housing, to eat, and to work at a livable wage with adequate child care, their communities will become safer and more stable. Guaranteed basic income, relief from medical debt and being freed from crippling credit scores will go a lot further towards creating a safe community than police with drones, encrypted radios and robot dogs. 8/8

Governments try to address community instability caused by these factors by pouring police resources into the affected area, without addressing root causes of instability. And the police don’t have the skills to deal with root causes. Lack of sufficient economic resources is a huge community destabilizer.
