I am very much liking the #8bitdo #pro3 having come from the #pro+, the build quality is very high it's very solid in the hands and the #tmr #joysticks are so smooth you can really feel it in a #fps like #combatmaster of course all of this is working flawlessly under #linux

just played a little #combatmaster after work and before the gym. forgot how fun that silly game is. even after they added a bunch of mtx stuff to it, it's a hoot.

This won't matter much to many people but I wanted to boast about wasting hours of my life "grinding" in a video game. I got the daily skin in #combatmaster even after their missed day bug.

The landscape of video games is vastly different than when I played with any regularity. Microtransactions are king and there's all sorts of challenges and things to chase beyond just 'git gud'. I went down the road of some modern video games and learning about #twitch so I could understand the things my kiddo likes so much.

I ended up paying for a bunch of stuff in this game but I can say I had a genuinely good time grinding and having stupid cosmetic rewards was kinda nice. It's a little akin to gambling sometimes but all this new stuff isn't inherently bad. I have a better view of it now and I think I'll likely keep up with a few games and streamers.

Fetching some froyo, then I hope to finish the dailies in #combatmaster for a fancy skin. Might try #cod #mobile after that. After a long day of staring at glowing rectangles, I might as well kick back and relax with more glowing rectangles.

Good #tzag, #fediverse. I think it's gonna be a good day. My short agenda:

1. Sip #coffee, chill with the #cats, read #linux pro magazine, check my various inboxes. (In progress)

2. Do the usual Sunday house cleaning chores. We're low on supplies so today this will require a trip to the store on the #ruckus in this beautiful weather.

3. Decide on an #ubuntu based distro to install on a new laptop for a soon to be announced thing.

4. Wrap up some easy loose ends on a little contract work.

5. Try to tackle issue 159 on the #ronin project.

6. Play some #combatmaster. I'm so close to level 55!

7. Go to bed at a reasonable hour.

I'll be interlacing some #family time into all of that as my wife and son drift through the house. Looking forward to all of it. On that note, I'm best be getting back to my coffee c[_]
