Is it just me or should Europe be building a "European #Defence Alliance" as a backup for #NATO like *right now*?

One that is independent from the usual political horse trading from #EUCO, that can include non-EU allies such as the UK and EFTA countries, and that includes a strong #collectivedefence guarantee.
