I got three clay samples in the mail yesterday from my #ClayPal @archeaids and it prompted a round of sig making.

I dissolved each clay sample in water and sieved through 60 mesh, added a tiny amount of sodium silicate to deflocculate and now to let them sit. Over time, the coarser particles will settle to the bottom and the top layer will be a silky, refined decorating slip. #clay #terrasigillata #wildclay #ceramics #art #alttext
