I was in the mood for something a little warming, had lots of flavour, and naturally because of (gestures broadly) preferably from the middle east.
So I set out to make #shakshuka. Problem: I can't eat onion or garlic because if I do my insides will become my outsides. Fun, huh? The base of every good meal gone in step one.
What I ended up with was an unenthusiastic Ragu with a couple of spices and a poached egg.
Not bad by any means. But not what the heart wanted.
