I lost this beautiful boy to cancer this week. You never know what effect they truly have on your life until they are gone and you are left with this huge empty space. He brought sunshine, fun, and adventure into my life daily.

Chessies (Chesapeake Bay Retrievers) are water loving dogs. Except this one. I adopted her thru rescue 4 years ago and she absolutely hates water in any form - creek, pond, lake, rain, snow, ice cubes, water guns, garden hose, kiddie pools and baths. So when I encourage her to go into the water, this is what she does - walks in just out of reach then stands there ignoring me as if to say "piss off". And that's OK with me - I wouldn't trade her for anything!❤️
