Felicity Jones plays Dolly, the bride to be, who we see on the morning of her wedding, a morning which seems to drag on a bit. We get to see flashbacks of how she met Joseph… but it’s not Joseph she’s marrying. Felicity does great justice to the complexities of the bride’s feelings.

Ellie Kendrick plays the younger sister Kitty and as is common with Ellie makes her an interesting and full character who despite not being the central character of the story we’re being told, is at least the central character of her own story. That’s why I think she’s a great actress, she makes someone like Kitty way more than a forgettable supporting character.
