Remember when Capel Street used to be choked up with traffic?
Now it’s full of people relaxing enjoying local businesses, cycling through to get to their next destination, sitting on the benches, or taking a leisurely stroll chatting with their mates.
I’m proud to have pushed for this change. We pushed back against the scaremongering and created a street that people love so much.
This is the Dublin we deserve.

A car-free Capel Street is the perfect place for filming.. except when members of An Garda Síochána drive an SUV the wrong way up the street and beep at the camera operator to get out of 'their' way. 🥴
