Nikolaj Ehlers discussing this current group of #Canes...

"We play for each other. We care about each other. We know what we need to do to help this team win games, and we’ve done that from day one. It’s been fantastic.”

Shayne Gostisbehere was asked at Media Day what it's like seeing the city come alive for the #Canes during the playoffs.

Fans will love his response.

“The city’s always alive for us, to be honest. It’s not just the playoffs. Throughout the whole season, they’ve been behind us. They’re called the Caniacs for a reason.

It’s definitely cool to see the extra boost, for sure, and all the watch parties around town, and what you see on social media. It’s to be expected here, because I know they love hockey, and people from here know that. I don’t know if people from outside [of here] do, but people from here get it.”

It's Media Day for the Stanley Cup Final, and a return to practice for the #Canes.

All looks business as usual at the skate!

The #Canes had six days between Rounds 1 & 2.

11 days between Rounds 2 & 3.

This time, just three days between the ECF and the SCF.

Is the quicker turnaround a positive?

"We're excited about getting going right away... Game 1 is Tuesday. Let's go," Jordan Staal answered.

The #Canes enjoyed their ECF win on Friday, but now, the page is turned as they prepare for Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final.

"Waking up this morning, knowing what we have ahead and the challenge we have ahead is exciting. We're looking forward to it," Jordan Staal said.

Taylor Hall only joined the #Canes last year, but he knew how much an ECF win would mean to the longer-tenured members of the roster, such as Aho, Martinook, Slavin, and Staal.

"They've laid the foundation for everything that's gone on here... I'm really happy for those guys."

The #Canes' leader in goals during the ECF?

Eric Robinson, with three.

He did so while averaging just 11:21 played per game in the series, second-fewest on the team.

He was impactful every time he was on the ice.

All four lines are contributing right now for Carolina.

Jordan Staal on finally advancing to the Stanley Cup Final with the #Canes:

"It's been a lot of grinding, a lot of ups and downs. I'm just so proud of the group we have here... I'm just so happy to be where we're at and just excited for the opportunity ahead."

No touch of the Prince of Wales Trophy for the #Canes.
