RCA Sword and Scabbard, Royal Canadian Artillery Pattern
Based on the 1821 Light Cavalry sabre, the Artillery sword has a cast, bright nickel-plate, three bar guard with a fluted top cap and chequered back strap. Sharkskin grip. The hand-forged, tempered steel cut and thrust blade is 86 cm. long and slightly curved. The scrollwork is standard Artillery pattern with “lightning bolts” having the words “Royal Canadian Artillery” above and “Artillerie Royal du Canada” below on the left side and the Royal Crown, Cypher, Canadian Shield-of-Arms and “The Gun” on the right. The dress scabbard is bright nickel-plate steel with double rings.
Includes metal scabbard and cloth carrying case.
