Metabolic reprogramming during Candida albicans planktonic-biofilm transition is modulated by the transcription factors Zcf15 and Zcf26

Fungal biofilms are complex communities that can form on surfaces of implanted medical devices. This study uses an overexpression screen to identify novel modulators of Candida albicans biofilm formation, revealing that the transcription factors ZCF15 and ZCF26 regulate metabolic reprogramming during the transition from planktonic to biofilm growth.
