I checked out the new Ferdinand Festival Street installation in Columbia City during Saturday’s rain. I am happy that the project was able to be approved and mostly completed (there are a few more things left to do). It’s going to be a wonderful spot to be outside

12 people enjoying soft serve 🍦 at the Milk Drunk #CafeStreet is better than two parking spaces.

Seattleites enthusiastic about making city's streets more people-centric, NPI poll finds

Even when it comes to seemingly contentious transportation projects that require converting a lane or traffic or parking spaces, Seattle voters are overwhelmingly supportive, a poll recently conducted for the Northwest Progressive Institute finds.

Sometimes simplicity is best. Peloton Cafe just put out some basic wood picnic tables for their #CafeStreet seating and it works great!

(Plus a cameo of a corner bike corral. This kind of bike parking increases visibility at intersections — a win for safety and access).

It's incomprehensible why the Ballard Ave Landmark Board is trying to restrict the #CafeStreet pergolas to 10', especially when it would negatively impact the Ballard Farmers Market. The average car length is 14.7 feet.

Ballard Farmers Market is commenting that shrinking the pergolas to 10x10 actually screws over the farmers. Current 12' allows storage for restaurants equipment during Sunday market.

Checked out Magnolia’s #cafestreet seating today. I like their addition of public benches to the privately managed seating — creates a nice welcoming mix of options to sit
