For everyone who said if we have MDF there has to be an LDF and HDF… well I have news, I may have found both. Essentially, furniture boards typically melamine faced, are made of wood chips so these are slightly lower density than MDF should qualify for LDF. As to window sills and counter tops (in UK atleast) are made from MDF like material but heavier and denser. They qualify as HDF. There you go mystery solved!
