I was going to help with a course proposal for #chi2022 for open practices. But I dropped out because CHI expects course teachers to pay to register for the conference. Pay to teach? Nope!
CHI submissions: We built an app, which we vaguely describe in this paper Reviewer: Can I see the source code? Or even use the app? SCs: Those are unacceptable demands! We'll replace this reviewer! #chi2022
This whole situation should call into question the revision process at #CHI2022. If actual concerns aren't discussed in the second round, let's not pretend it matters.
Is there some place to submit a comment or statement of concern for a #chi2022? If not, I'll just post it as an OSF preprint.
I am, as usual, disappointed in the CHI review process that seems to always result in major validity issues getting buried in the limitations section. So for any #chi2022 paper I reviewed that gets published, I will publish my review and sign it.
My review for the #CHI2022 paper: "Aperitif: Scaffolding Preregistrations to Automatically Generate Analysis Code and Methods Descriptions". The survey of preregistration in HCI is great. But it also advertises a very questionable analysis tool. https://osf.io/kc9bv/ 1/

#CHI2023 should learn from David Guetta and use uberduck.ai to generate fake vocals for each paper.

Here is our #CHI2022 paper read by Stephen Fry:

Thank you to #SIGGRAPH Asia for inviting a selection of the best papers and honourable mentions from #chi2022 to present here at #SIGGRAPHASIA in Daegu Korea.

Thanks to Joaquim Jorge and Pedro Lopez for organising and curating the papers to match the interests of this audience which resulted in a full room. Thanks to Yongquan "Owen" Hu for assisting me with my recommendations to this panel.
