A 23-year-old man has been sentenced to 3 years & 8 months in prison for a violent #SexualAssault in his #CFBEsquimalt dorm room that included strangling & suffocating a woman he met on a #DatingApp.

Hayden Chokrev-Evans, who at the time of his pre-sentence report remained employed with the #RoyalCanadianNavy, was sentenced in #BCSupremeCourt following a 5-day jury trial.
