I am deeply shaken by the following two recent fiascos in India.

- Crisis due to CBSE Grade 12 (2026) On-Screen Marking system [1]
The CBSE Class 12 2026 results triggered a major crisis after the new On-Screen Marking (OSM) system led to a 16% drop in students scoring 90%+, widespread portal crashes, and allegations of mismatched or unmarked answer sheets. In response, the board extended the deadline for scanned copies to May 25, 2026, slashed re-evaluation fees, and enlisted IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) experts to resolve technical glitches amid a severe loss of trust.

- 2026 NEET ( National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) controversy [2]
The National Testing Agency (NTA) cancelled the NEET-UG 2026 examination, originally held on May 3, 2026, due to a massive paper leak involving a "guess paper" that matched approximately 120 questions from the actual exam. This decision, approved by the Government of India, has affected nearly 2.28 lakh students and led to a CBI probe into the alleged "exam mafia" network. The re-examination is scheduled for June 21, 2026, with no fresh registration required for candidates.
