My talk was accepted at #CackalackyCon 2026 ! 🎉

This will be a follow-up to last year's "Supply-chain security from the trenches" talk, focusing on how AI is changing the landscape for attackers and defenders: to demo it, we'll be crowdsourcing the design for a new malware family, and showing how detection can dynamically adapt to find it.

CFP sent! Speaking at #CackalackyCon was one of the highlights of 2025. I hope my talk this year sparks some interest: the plan is to live-code a malware strain and discuss what's required to build a scalable pipeline on the cheap to detect similar strains with minimal false positives.

#MakeShitMonday, #Meshtastic edition...

I got a Heltec V3 Meshtastic radio a few weeks ago to experiment with at #CackalackyCon. I set it up and did initial config with a naked board, but I didn't want to carry it around that way, so I ended up #3DPrinting a case that was designed for this board.

Had to print with supports to get the structure and shapes to print well. After cleaning all of the support material off - including the one bit I originally missed that was keeping the board from seating correctly - it all fit together nicely. I really like how it turned out!
